1. The agreement
At sign-up you tick “I agree to how DSAtlas uses my data, as set out in the Data Use Agreement.” That box records this statement, word for word:
I agree that DSAtlas may store the college details and coding usernames I add, read my public coding activity, and include it in cohort aggregates, which staff of a college I choose can see as group totals. If I join a college's or training provider's DSAtlas workspace, its staff can see my own practice progress. My profile stays private unless I choose to share it.
Agreement version 2026-10-03-v8. We keep the exact wording, the version and the time you agreed. The sections below explain each part.
2. What we store
The college details you add (your college, branch and graduation year) and the usernames of the coding profiles you connect. You can change or remove them in Settings → My Account and Settings → Coding profiles.
3. What we read
The public activity of each coding profile you connect, such as problems solved, contests and repositories. We never ask for the password of a coding site. Each time you connect a profile, you confirm it is yours.
4. Group totals for your college
If you choose a college, its verified staff can see group statistics for its students, such as counts, medians, activity and topic gaps. Groups with fewer than five connected students are hidden.
Choosing a college does not show them anything else about you. If you leave the college blank, no college staff see you at all.
5. Colleges and training providers you join
If you join a college’s or training provider’s workspace on DSAtlas, or it adds you, its staff can see your own practice progress: solved counts, topics, activity and targets they set for you. You can leave a workspace at any time in Settings → Privacy, and it stops seeing your progress at once.
6. Your profile stays private
Other students see nothing of yours by default. Your public profile and your place on leaderboards are both off until you turn them on in Settings → Privacy.
7. Changing your mind
You can withdraw this agreement at any time, as easily as you gave it: disconnect a profile, leave a college or workspace, or delete your account and its data in Settings → Account & data.
The Privacy Policy covers everything else: how long data is kept, who we share it with and your rights. For a privacy request, write to privacy@dsatlas.in.
