Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and DSAtlas (“DSAtlas”, “we”, “us”) for using the DSAtlas website and app (the “Service”). You accept them by creating an account or by using the Service. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle your data, and they form part of these terms.

Anyone learning to code can use DSAtlas. If you are under 18, you may use it only with your parent’s or lawful guardian’s permission. They must read and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy for you. When a parent or guardian gives that permission, they are responsible for your use of the Service.

Sign-up asks your age, and asks you to accept these terms and the Privacy Policy, before an account is created. Your answers must be true.

You may not use DSAtlas if the law prevents you from doing so, or if we have previously closed your account for breaking these terms.

DSAtlas reads the public profiles of coding platforms you connect and shows your progress over time. It compares your progress with your cohort and suggests what to practise next.

DSAtlas is free and under active development. Features may change, be added or be removed. We try to keep the Service available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One person per account. Do not share your sign-in details, and keep your password secret.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away at support@dsatlas.in if you think someone else has used it.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account & data.

• Connect only profiles that are yours. Claiming someone else’s profile is impersonation, and we will remove it.
• We may ask you to prove ownership, for example by adding a code to your profile. If two people claim the same profile, we may move it to the person who proves ownership.
• DSAtlas is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LeetCode, Codeforces, GitHub, GeeksforGeeks or any other platform. Their names and marks belong to their owners. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms.
• We rely on what those platforms make public. Figures can be late, incomplete or unavailable when a platform changes or limits access. We show when each figure was observed and mark gaps rather than guessing.

You must not use DSAtlas to:

• Impersonate anyone, or connect, verify or rank with a profile that is not yours.
• Upload a photo, name or bio that is unlawful or defamatory, obscene or pornographic, harassing or hateful. It also must not infringe anyone’s rights, invade their privacy, or harm children.
• Manipulate leaderboards or rankings, for example with fake accounts or scripted activity.
• Scrape, crawl or bulk-download DSAtlas, or access it by automated means other than the links and exports we provide.
• Probe, break or bypass our security, overload the Service, or introduce malware.
• Collect other students’ data, or use anything you see on DSAtlas to contact, track or discriminate against someone.
• Break any law, or threaten the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India or public order.

We may remove content or restrict features that break these rules.

You keep ownership of the photo, name and bio you add. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store them and to show them where your settings allow, only so that we can run the Service. That permission ends when you remove the content or delete your account. You confirm that you have the right to share what you upload.

Leaderboards, percentiles and recommendations come from fixed rules applied to public platform data. They are a practice aid, not an assessment of ability. They are not endorsed by any college or platform, and they should not be the basis for admissions, grading or hiring decisions. Problems you mark as done yourself are shown as self-reported and do not count towards leaderboard points.

If we give you a staff role at a college, you may use what the role shows only to support that college’s students. Keep it confidential. Do not copy it out of DSAtlas except as your college’s own data-protection rules allow, and do not try to identify students from group statistics. We may remove a staff role at any time.

DSAtlas is free, and we do not take payments. If we ever offer a paid feature, it will be optional. Its price and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and we will never charge for a feature you already use for free without your agreement. See the Refund Policy.

The DSAtlas software, design, name and logo belong to DSAtlas. You may use the Service as these terms allow, but you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it. Problem titles and links point to the platforms that publish them and remain theirs.

You can stop using DSAtlas and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms or the law, or to protect other users. Where it is safe and lawful, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to respond. When an account is closed, we handle its data as the Privacy Policy describes.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it will meet your needs, or that figures read from third-party platforms are complete or correct. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian law that cannot be limited by agreement.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. These include lost opportunities and decisions made from rankings, as well as losses caused by a third-party platform. Because the Service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to ₹1,000. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for fraud or for a breach of your data caused by our negligence.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first, so we can try to solve the problem informally (see below). Any dispute we cannot resolve that way will be decided by the courts of India.

We may update these terms as the Service or the law changes. We will change the effective date above. For a material change, we will show a notice in the app before it applies. If you keep using DSAtlas after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.

Under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. This includes complaints about content on a public profile. If you are unhappy with how we handled a privacy complaint, you can go to the Data Protection Board of India.

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor that continues the Service under these terms. These terms, with the policies they mention, are the whole agreement between you and us about DSAtlas.
